The Union

In the civil war, the north was called the union. They had blue uniforms with white buttons down the middle of their jacket. (see picture on left) The north didn't want slavery so they fought against the south to get it to stop. About 360,000 union soldiers died in the war and about 275,200 got wounded. About 2,200,000 soldiers were in the war and 200 people lived. But it was worth it because the Union won the war!!!!!!!!!!
